Elizabeth López Noreña

Regarding yoga, I believe there is much to experience and understand. What we in the West know as yoga is almost always the physical aspect: the postures (asanas) and the series of movements that make us feel fantastic, and that's all well and good. However, the philosophy of yoga is infinitely broader than that; it encompasses much more than the movement of the physical body. Yoga is an EXPERIENCE that allows us to FLOURISH, expand our limits, and develop our potential, as we reduce the fluctuations of our mind and become more aware of our thoughts, actions, and emotions. Literally, the word YOGA means UNION, and to experience this union of the whole with the whole, various techniques have been designed, such as the practice of Hatha Yoga (which includes postures (asanas), conscious breathing (pranayama), and conscious relaxation (savasana)) and many other purification techniques, including meditation, which is its ultimate goal. All yoga practices help us to have a healthy, flexible, open, and vital body, a calm, focused, and peaceful mind, and as a result, a peaceful and content heart.

Hatha Yoga

I must say that I am very much in love with Hatha Yoga, and especially with a very special and ancient sequence brought from India known as the RISHIKESH SERIES, a series consisting of the 12 most efficient and beneficial postures of Hatha Yoga. With this sequence, we work the entire body and mind in an integrated way, doing very rigorous work in harmonizing the 7 main chakras (the most important energy centers of the body that regulate its proper functioning). Daily, for the For the past year and a half, I've practiced this series every single day without fail, finding that the practice deepens with each passing day and the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits grow ever greater. That's why I want to share this sequence, what I've experienced and embodied, and teach you each pose step by step so you can practice it for the rest of your life and experience the same level of healing and balance that I myself have felt. All levels are welcome; yoga is for everyone. We don't expect perfect bodies. Physical and mental flexibility, physical and mental strength are cultivated through yoga—that's what it's for. We want human bodies and minds that simply want to explore their potential and understand that limits are mental.
