We are real people living in Vilcabamba who dream of building a community experience that brings together the skills, abilities, passions, and resources of the diverse group of amazing people from all over the world who have decided to call Vilcabamba home.

We do not see ourselves as a listings website or marketing business. What we are striving to be is a community hub that is a platform that anyone can use as a tool to help organize, promote and launch their dreams, visions and skills and share them with the community of Vilcabamba. We want our online platform to be a place to connect real people together for real life off-line experiences and to help people to live the healthiest life possible supported by a strong, independent local economy and community offerings. The VilcaVerse website is organized into twelve main categories that we see as the central pillars of this community. From these central categories you can search and find everything that Vilcabamba has to offer. We also have an integrated WhatsApp community that is organized into the same categories as the website and allows real-time organized discussion to support the website information. Basically the website is the directory and the WhatsApp community is where the discussion takes place.

Our goal isn't to use algorithms to keep you hooked on our website wasting your life scrolling and surfing the net. Our goal is to organize and promote community information so that our users can log on, easily find what they need, make their connections, and then get back to living their real life enjoying their community and everything that Vilcabamba has to offer. We ask for the help of the community to help us make our dream a reality and we value any ideas and feedback from our community members to help us stay true to our intentions and to improve our service to the community.

how it works

The VilcaVerse Community Hub brings what we believe to be the 12 most important "pillars" of the community to a central place online where people can then explore each pillar's subcategories and find everything that they need and everything that the community has to offer. We would like to work collaboratively with community leaders in each of these 12 pillar categories to promote and develop each of these sectors to encourage conscious community development and promote growth of the local economy in general. Because the scope of The VilcaVerse concept is quite large we have broken it up into two separate websites. One called the Vilca Verse which covers the entire scope of community offerings, and the other is called Vilca Vende which focuses solely on local area business and commerce. Both the VilcaVerse and Vilca Vende operate in the same way by providing free Communit-E-Cards to local people to promote their businesses, programs, or whatever they want to promote. Both also offer full page add-ons for a reasonable price to further promote people's interests with extra bandwidth for more text, pictures, videos, and other multimedia options to promote people's businesses or programs.

Communit-E-Cards

The VilcaVerse Community Hub platform is an online community bulletin board where we offer free contact cards that we call Communit-E-Cards for everyone to promote what they have to offer under the appropriate category so that people can find them easily. Communit-E-Cards feature a WhatsApp link button for instant contact through WhatsApp and they can also be upgraded to include link buttons leading to a full web-page with unlimited text and multi-media options or to download files that could include things like menus or weekly flyers.

VilcaVerse Whatsapp Community

The VilcaVerse also features an integrated WhatsApp community that is organized in the same way as the VilcaVerse and Vilca Vende websites. This provides an organized real-time feedback forum, targeted marketing opportunities and a way for the VilcaVerse members to receive community information and weigh in on the direction the community is going. This is a chance for the community to organize and work together to improve life for our residents.

Communit-E-Market

Our Communit-E-Market is located on our Vilca Vende website. The initial version of the Communit-E-Market is simply a place for local product producers, and the tiendas that carry these products to connect with a broader customer base. It is intended to be a centralized place for local producers and craftsmen to introduce their products to the community and also to showcase their products to local tiendas who may wish to carry them in their stores. There is also a "community garage sale" chat forum in the Communit-E-Market where people can post their personal items items for free in a Chat format similar to Telegram or whatsapp groups. As Vilca Vende grows we will strive to expand the Communit-E-Market to offer a full online shopping experience for locally crafted products with payment processing and eventually an order fulfillment and delivery service.

VilcaVerse Business Club

The VilcaVerse business club exists to connect concious community-mined entrepreneurs and program facilitators in Vilcabamba, providing a space to share skills, resources, and knowledge so that local businesses and community initiatives grow stronger together rather than in isolation. Community Bulletin Boards

We are not only focusing on online community building. We also feature neat and attractive VilcaVerse branded community bulletin boards scattered throughout the town of Vilcabamba. Advertisers on The VilcaVerse can also choose to advertise with full page and half page ads on our real life bulletin boards. Our bulletin boards will feature glass doors to protect ads from vandalism and being torn down or covered.
